Burden began in June of 2000 in Eau Claire, Wi. Three of us previously played in a swing band, but we wanted to move beyond that and try something different.

None of us liked each other's choice of music to begin with so we came up with a unique sound that we all enjoy and want to share with everyone out there. We're probably best described as progressive metal, and with female vocals we're going to take it one step farther.
